Procured under a JCT Design and Build 2016 contract, this project involved the comprehensive refurbishment of six underutilised and outdated commercial units. The works comprised a CAT A fit-out, extensive fire-stopping upgrades, and extensions to two of the units, including the construction of a glue-laminated timber (glulam) extension.

The external works included significant hard and soft landscaping packages, together with the construction of a floating pontoon across the river at the rear of the site, enhancing both the functionality and aesthetic of the development.

Beadmans was also appointed to deliver the fit-out of a post office, bar and restaurant within two of the refurbished units. Procured under a separate JCT Design and Build 2016 contract, the scope included partitioning, decorations, mechanical and electrical installations, bespoke joinery, and the installation of a feature internal live tree, creating high-quality commercial spaces tailored to the client’s requirements.
